Set in tropical gardens, a renovated ‘Queenslander’ home features our dormitory style accommodation. The lower level houses a large well equipped kitchen suitable for group cooking, separate male and female amenities, a large outdoor sitting area and a separate games area. The upper level consists of four large bedrooms (4 beds per room), with interconnecting, lockable doors, television, fridge and seating and is ideal for back packers. Air-conditioners and ceiling fans are fitted to each of the rooms.
Double or twin roomettes are very popular with backpackers, allowing more privacy than the ‘dormitory’ style of accommodation. Each room is equipped with a double bed or two single beds, bed linen, small fridge, wardrobe, drawers, air conditioning and flat screen TV. Roomettes share the kitchen and bathroom facilities of the Hostel. Ask about our special for long-term stays.

Applying for Farmwork: Duties for picking/packing: select fruit/vegetable for harvest according to the Farmers directions on the size and ripeness, pack carefully and efficiently, avoiding damage to produce. You may have to operate machinery or use tools at times and clean up and disposing of rubbish. At the end of season removing irrigation for storage for next year.
About you: You will need to be able to cope with the physical demands of the job, so you need to be physically fit, strong, and able to undertake manual work. You may be working in a shed or outdoors at times in hot, humid conditions, rain at times, and you need to be able to work quickly and consistently for long periods.
