Refund Policy Update

Single booking cancellations: Where the booking is a single booking relating to only one on-site accommodation, and that booking is cancelled:

  • 48 Hours or more prior to the arrival date, then you will be refunded the full amount less a 5% admin fee, except during Peak periods when non refundable deposits are requested;
  • Less than 48 Hours, no refunds.

Group booking cancellations: Where the booking is a group booking which relates to two or more on-site accommodations, and that booking is cancelled:

  • 30 days or more prior to the arrival date, then you will be refunded an amount equal to the tariff you have paid less the tariff for one night’s accommodation;
  • Between 30 and 14 days prior to arrival, then you will be refunded an amount equal to the tariff you have paid less 50% of the total tariff or the tariff for one night’s accommodation, whichever is greater.
  • Less than 2 weeks, no refunds.

A booking may, subject to availability, be changed, however in such circumstances the tariff may change depending on the new booking period and a fee may apply in respect of the change. You may hold credit on your client account for up to 12 months.

No refunds or credit will be given for early departures once you have arrived at the park.  Management reserves the right to hold deposits for bookings that are cancelled.

If your circumstances change outside our 48 Hour cancellation period we will offer a change of date, full credit to be used later or a full refund.

Cardwell is located in far north QLD between Townsville and Cairns. It’s right on the beach overlooking Hinchinbrook Island. Nearby attractions include Attie Creek Falls and Pools, The strikingly blue Spa Pool, Dead Horse creek, Five Mile creek, Cardwell lookout,  Port Hinchinbrook, Hinchinbrook Island Cruises, Murray Falls and Pools,  Alligator Nest Pools,  Historic Cardwell Pub, Post Office & Telegraph Station, Kirrama National Park, Coral Sea Battle Memorial Park, Cardwell Forest Drive, Girringun Aboriginal Art Centre and the Cardwell Rainforest , Island Hikes, Great Barrier Reef tours & Reef Visitor Information Centre opposite the Cardwell Jetty.  There are bike and walking paths along the foreshore and between all the local attraction spots. There is incredible fishing to be had off the Jetty, the Port Hinchinbrook marina, off the beach and from a boat around all the nearby islands.
